This application form is intended for NEW volunteers who are over 18 years old.

If you are in high school (Years 7 to 12) and are a NEW volunteer, please go to our Teen Volunteer Application.

Create an account and complete our Adult Volunteer Agreement.

To complete this form you need:

The details of two referees who are not family/ friends.
Your Working with Children Check (WWCC) details. Visit www.check.kids.nsw.gov.au for more information and to apply for your WWCC if you don't have one.

Please provide the details of two adult referees who are not related to you and who can provide a reference for you. We cannot accept references from family members, relatives or friends.

Your referees would ideally be current or former employers. If you don't have relevant work experience then referees must be impartial authority figures, such as an employer, lecturer, coach, tutor, Rabbi or similar.

Please confirm with the referees first that they are happy to provide a reference. Once you have submitted the volunteer application, please email them this link so they can provide their reference electronically: sydneyfc.org.au/volunteer-reference

Please let your referees know that we may contact them if we have any questions about their reference.

IMPORTANT:

It is your responsibility to email the link to the referees and ensure the references are provided in a timely manner. We will not follow up on the reference with the referees. We will only contact the referees if we have questions about their reference once it has been submitted.

Working with Children Check

Legislation requires all volunteers to hold a valid Working with Children Check. You will not be able to volunteer for Friendship Circle programs until a valid WWCC number is provided.

If you don't have a current WWCC, please visit www.check.kids.nsw.gov.au and follow the instructions to apply for one. You can still complete this form by providing your application number that will be instantly provided when you complete your application. If you do not have your WWCC number in hand but have your APP number, please write TBC in the 'WWCC Number' box below.
